We use 2mm as the smallest thickness. Since that is the lowest thickness for 3d printing in resin without deforming.

Printed it twice, both came out perfect
I run a small studio doing one-off lighting. The parametric source alone is worth it — I rebuilt this at 60 cm diameter, regenerated the cut files, and the laser-cut rings dropped right onto the printed petals without sanding.
